RISE – A holistic farm sustainability assessment method in teaching

RISE - an assessment method for sustainability on a farm level and it's valuable use in teaching.

Veronika Zbinden and Christian Thalmann, both from Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), School of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences (HAFL), introduce RISE (Response-Inducing Sustainability Evaluation) as a method and explain how to use it in the classroom. RISE is a method for assessing the economic, social and environmental sustainability performance of agricultural production at the farm level.
